Large Trailer Policy

LDRS 31 Large Trailer Policy

We at LDRS 31 understand that some of you will be showing up with ‘big rigs’.  No, we don’t mean your latest Level 3 project, we mean large trailers.  This policy is intended to make sure we can accommodate those large trailers safely, and without getting in anyone else’s way.

  • A ‘Large Trailer’ will be any trailer that is rated as 16 ft or larger (this is generally a measurement of the interior length of the trailer).
  • Flyers intending to bring large trailers are asked to indicate this when they register for LDRS.  There will be a ‘check box’ for this purpose on the sign up form.  There will also be a web page where you can update this check box if you change your mind.
  • We will be parking those with large trailers to the right side (entrance side) of the range.  This will make it easier for you to get in and out, as well as safer for other LDRS participants.
  • We will be reserving 12 parking spaces for large trailer use.  These spaces will be 20 ft wide, rather than 12, so that you can park your vehicle next to your trailer, rather than in line with it (and we even got Dutch to agree to do this at no extra cost … woo hoo!!)
  • The 12 reserved parking spots for large trailers are on a first come, first served basis.  We believe that 12 is enough based on past experience, but if the 12 are all claimed, we will ask that the remaining large trailer owners purchase two normal spots side by side.
  • These spaces are ONLY for those with large trailers.  If you indicate that you have a large trailer and reserve one of these spots, then show up without the trailer (or with a dinky trailer), we will ask you to move.
  • Likewise, if you reserve a normal sized spot in the middle of the crowd and then show up with a large trailer, we will ask you to move.
  • Trailers may be left on the field at night (at the owners sole risk), but there is NO camping overnight.
